Herein lies an account of my own efforts to "find tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything" as Shakespeare described in As You Like It.

Soldier Hollow Sheepdog Classic: Labor Day Weekend Part III
It's been awhile since this actually happened, so hopefully I'll be able to remember most of the interesting stuff. Last year, I heard about the Solider Hollow Classic sheepdog competition on the radio and was very interested in going. I didn't end up making it in the end, largely because I was still using my grandma's van for transportation and didn't want to put any unnecessary strain on it. This year, I was determined that I would get to the event.

Stake Dance: Labor Day Week Part II
Friday began the Labor Day weekend in earnest for me. When you work full-time year round, three-day weekends truly are an event worth noticing; especially when you are new and don’t get a whole lot of PTO yet! In this situation, there’s nothing quite like getting off of work Friday afternoon with the whole weekend stretching out before you.

Timpanogos Storytelling Festival: Labor Day Week Part I
The week leading up to Labor Day was really pretty fun. I got to do a number of interesting things in a short space of time. It was refreshing to have some real plans as opposed to my normal free time go-to of taking a long walk/run. Since each of these events is worthy of a post, I’ll probably break this report down to each event and try to post them as I can.
